MRI SCAN
An MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan is a test that creates clear images of the structures inside your body using a large magnet, radio waves and a computer. Healthcare providers use MRIs to evaluate, diagnose and monitor several different medical conditions.
A MRI scan has many uses, but it’s particularly well-suited to quickly examine people who may have internal injuries from car accidents or other types of trauma. A MRI scan can be used to visualise nearly all parts of the body and is used to diagnose disease or injury as well as to plan medical, surgical or radiation treatment.

General Questions
People generally ask some of these questions/queries about the process, result and necessaries of the diagnosis.
An MRI provides a clearer picture of abnormal tissues. It is a better scan for looking at ligaments and tendons, your spinal cord, and other soft tissues. A CT scan can give you a higher-quality picture of bones and is better for diagnosing chest and lung problems as well as detecting some cancers.
The radiologist may discuss initial results of the MRI with you right after the test. Complete results are usually ready for your doctor in 1 to 2 days. An MRI can sometimes find a problem in a tissue or organ even when the size and shape of the tissue or organ looks normal.
Brain MRI: 30 minutes to 2 hours. Back MRI: 30 minutes to 1 hour. Spine MRI: 30 minutes to 2 hours. Full body MRI: 1 hour to 1.5 hours.
